Alhama de Granada is famous for its hot springs and its gorge walks. Whilst there is some hiking and cycling tourism, it remains a typical Spanish town and we are located in a beautiful position at the top of a mountain overlooking the ancient town.
Whilst being in the province of Granada, Alhama de Granada is well situated for people living in the Malaga province who wish to board their pets with us at Rosie’s Retreat. We are approximately 30 minutes from Loja, 40 minutes from Granada, Puente don Manuel, Periana and Vinuela and within an hour of the coastal resorts of Nerja, Torre del Mar and Velez-Malaga. We are a 20 minute drive from junction 211 of the M92 motorway – 35 minutes from Granada Airport and just over an hour from Malaga Airport.
Whilst being located at the top of a mountain provides us with spectacular views, it does make it difficult for people to find us! We generally meet customers at the bottom of the mountain so they can follow us through the winding roads to reach Rosie’s Retreat.
